Privacy Policy for Passengers

This document regulates the protection of confidentiality of the user's personal data. This document informs you what kind of information is used to offer transportation service packages, which is done to ensure your safety, as well as contains information on what kind of alternatives and control mechanisms are available to you.

 

This is to notify you of your privacy rights and in compliance with all data protection regulations.

To receive the service mentioned above, please indicate in the subject line:  

  • Data Protection Officer - where the term "we" or "Venio" means the owner of the Venio application.

  •  Venio is a limited liability company established in Georgia, Tbilisi, Krtsanisi St. 14, 0114 IC 404638193.

  •  The term "You" refers to the Passenger where the Customer receives the Service offered by the Company directly through the Venio Application Account.

 

  1. Personal data

 We process only the information we need to provide you with the best transportation services available on the market.

  • Contact Information:

  • Name, Surname

  • Phone Number

  • Email

  • ID Number

  • If necessary

  • Profile Information: 

  • Profile Picture (optional) 

  •  Your Destinations (addresses) - the start and end points of the ride

  • Language

  • Means of Communication 

  • Geolocation: such as the starting point of the ride is (i.e., Your location at the time of the request), the final destination, the estimated time for completion of the ride.

  • Payment information, such as the amount to be paid and the payment method (e.g., cash on delivery and/or bank card).

  • Communication and correspondence records, for example, when You use the in-app chat or speak with representatives of our customer service team and receive a service invoice after the ride is completed (for each ride individually).

  •  Device identification data: A unique address of a physical device that is used only to receive internal messages.

  • Notification of your service status, such as driver’s location, arrival at the address, ride start/end point, and service rating.

  • Data on the communication made directly through the instant messages sent by the Venio application: ("Chat with the driver"), date, time and its content. (Comming Soon)

 

All points mentioned above are protected and "Venio" LLC is responsible for their confidentiality.

 

  1. Purpose of Processing

Venio helps you to receive services by processing your data, and we also receive the following types of information:

  •  Connecting You with a driver: We collect and process personal data to connect passengers with drivers so that they can pick up the passenger and take them to their destination. Instant messages sent directly through the Venio app are processed for service delivery and customer support (including dispute resolution between the driver and the passenger), as well as to improve and analyze our services.

  • Ride Completion: When ordering a ride through the app, we provide drivers with the passenger's geolocation data and the passenger's phone number in order to efficiently ensure the customer's ride. The above data is collected only when the Venio app is activated. The collection of geolocation data stops after closing the application.

  • App Updates and/or Changes: We use contact information to notify users of updates to the Venio App.

 

  1. Legal Basis

  • This document is regulated by the existing legislation in Georgia, and if necessary, the existing information will be used only within the framework of the current legislation (if necessary), and the mentioned information will be transferred to a third party only in case of confirming such necessity, which is also regulated according to the legislation of Georgia.

  • In case you do not agree with the mentioned provision, Venio releases itself from the obligation to provide you with the relevant service.

 

  1. Recipient of the Information

 User information is available as follows:

  • The driver receives only the following information about the passenger: name, surname, phone number and location.

  •  After providing the service, the above-mentioned information is available to the driver for a maximum of 48 hours. (in order to communicate regarding any unforeseen cases).

  • The assessment left by the passengers regarding the quality of service through the application is anonymous. Your rating is confidential between you and Venio.

  •  The information is confidential unless there is a need to enforce the law established by the Georgian legislation.

 

  1. Security and Access 

  • Any personal data collected during the provision of our services is transferred and stored in Venio's database, which is located on the AWS Cloud server, and its confidentiality is ensured.



  1. Your Rights and the Exercise of Appropriate Controls

  • The user can control personal data from their profile, where the application usage history is also saved.

 

  1. Data Storage 

  • The Venio company stores the existing data forever, in case any kind of change is made to the above-mentioned point, the user will receive a corresponding notification about it no later than 1 week before the change is made.

  • Venio stores customer data only for as long as it is necessary for the aforementioned purposes. This means that we retain different categories of data for different periods of time depending on the type of data, the associated transfer service and the purposes for which the data is collected.

  • Please note that uninstalling the Venio app from Your device will not delete Your personal data. If You do not use the Venio app for 1 (one) year, we will contact you and ask you to confirm whether you wish to keep the account active in the future. If we do not receive a response from You within 10 days, then Your account will be closed and the personal data will be deleted unless it is necessary for any of the purposes mentioned above in this privacy policy.

 

  1. Direct Marketing 

  • We may send you direct marketing messages to your email address and/or phone number if you have given us permission to do so or based on software consent. We may personalize direct marketing messages based on how you use the Venio Services, such as how often you use the Venio app and your transportation preferences.

  • If you no longer wish to receive direct marketing messages, please let us know via our social network, website and/or hotline.

 

  1. Dispute Resolution

  • Disputes related to the processing of personal data will be reviewed and resolved through customer support ([email protected]), and appropriate action will be taken.

Privacy Policy for Drivers

These general terms and conditions define the use of the Venio application, which connects passengers with drivers to help the former use transportation in a more efficient way.

 

Hereby the term "We" or "Venio" means the owner of the Venio app. Venio is a limited liability company established in Georgia, Tbilisi, 14 Krtsanisi St., 0114 IC 404638193. The company's website https://venio.ge is constantly updated, and all the necessary information about the company can be found here.

The company reserves the right to store the personal information of its users (client, driver, legal entity provided with transportation services) in its database in order to further use the application.

 

1. Personal data processed by us

  • Name, e-mail, phone number, place of residence.

  • Geolocation of drivers and routes. (The mentioned data is processed even if the Venio application is not completely disconnected from the device).

  • Information about vehicles (including registration number and license).

  • Driver's license, photo, and identity documents.

  • Driver performance and rating.

 

2. Processing Purpose

  • We collect and process personal data to connect passengers with drivers to help them travel more efficiently.

  • Geolocation and travel routes are processed to analyze the geographic area and provide recommendations to drivers.

  • The Venio app displays the driver's photo (if applicable), name, vehicle number, make and color.

  • We collect and use information related to driver engagement, interactions on our platform, ratings (including driver score) to protect user safety, ensure that you meet the conditions of being a partner driver and that we offer a quality, convenient service. If your score falls below the threshold, you may be sent a message or requested for additional training. If your score continues to decline, Venio reserves the right to terminate the contract with you and terminate your access to your personal account. According to the legislation of Georgia, you can appeal the said decision within the framework of the legislation in force in Georgia.

 

3. Legal Basis

  • Personal data is processed for the fulfillment of the contract signed with the driver. The prerequisite for using the Venio service is to identify the driver and process geolocation data.

  • Personal data is processed in accordance with the legislation of Georgia and may be transferred to a third party within the framework of the applicable law.

 

4. Recipient of the information

  • Your personal data will only be available to passengers whose request You have confirmed. Passengers will see the driver's name, vehicle registration number, color and make, phone number, photo and geolocation data. Passengers also see the driver's personal data in the receipt.

 

5. Security and Access

  • Any personal data collected during the provision of the service is transferred and stored in the Venio database, which is located on the DigitalOcean Cloud server and is stored for life, in case there is a change in the mentioned rule, relatable information is provided to the user no later than 1 week before the change takes effect.

 

6. Processing the personal data of passengers

  • You may not process passenger personal data without our permission. You may not contact a passenger or collect, record, store, access, use personal data provided by passengers or made available to you through the Venio App for any reason other than the provision of transportation services.

  • You are obliged to comply with the terms and conditions for the processing of passenger personal data according to the passenger privacy policy. If you violate the requirements for processing passenger personal data, we are entitled to cancel your driver account and demand compensation for damages.

 

7. Account creation , Data Access, Correction and Deletion

  • In order to register as a partner driver and join    Venio Group, it is necessary to send pre- requisition via the web site  https://venio.ge  or  come to an address , indicated in contact information and provide necessary documentation .
  • Personal data can be viewed through your application and can only be edited by connecting to Venio.

  • Your personal data is stored as long as you have an active driver account. If your account is closed, personal data will be stored for an additional period of 1 (one) year.

  • Data necessary for accounting purposes is stored for 3 (three) years.

  • In case of suspicion of administrative or criminal law fraud or false information, data is stored for 5 (five) years.

  • In case of disputes, the data will be stored until the dispute is resolved or the statute of limitations for the dispute expires.

  • We will respond to any e-mailed request regarding the deletion or transfer of personal data within one month at the latest and specify the period of data deletion and transfer.
